Complete Roof Overhaul
We started by stripping the existing roof, preparing it for a fresh installation. The roof was then re-felted using a high-quality breathable membrane, providing superior weatherproofing while allowing the structure to breathe.
New Battening and Timber Installation
For added support and longevity, we fitted 10×38 counter battens and 25×50 treated tile battens, ensuring the roof was ready for its new tiles. Additionally, we removed the old chimneys and installed new timbers, reinforcing the roof structure.
Velux Windows and Lead Work
We installed two MK04 Velux windows with flashing kits, allowing natural light to flood the home while maintaining waterproofing. Code 5 lead was expertly fitted to the valleys, ensuring secure protection against water ingress in critical areas.
Guttering and Roof Tiling
To complement the new roof, we installed black deepflow gutters along with 68mm rainwater pipes, ensuring efficient drainage. The roof was then tiled using Old English Marley Edgemere concrete roof tiles, known for their durability and classic look.
Modern Ridge System
Marley modern ridges were installed using a dry hip/ridge system, providing a secure, maintenance-free finish to the roof.
