This project involved a complete roof refurbishment, replacing the old materials with high-performance slate, leadwork, and zinc detailing to ensure a long-lasting, weather-resistant finish.
Scope of Work
Here’s what went into this expert roofing transformation:
• Existing Roof Stripped: The old roofing materials were removed to prepare for a full reinstallation.
• Breathable Membrane Installed: A high-performance breathable membrane was fitted, enhancing moisture control and ventilation.
• Code 5 Leadwork:
• Lead was expertly installed on valleys, chimneys, and abutments, ensuring a fully waterproof and durable finish.
• Premium Cupa Slate Installation:
• The roof was re-slated using 400mm x 250mm Cupa slate, a premium choice known for its strength and longevity.
• Each slate was securely fixed with 50mm copper nails to withstand the harshest weather conditions.
• Zinc Hips & Ridge with Lead Caps:
• 14-inch zinc was installed on the hips and ridge, finished with lead caps at mitres for extra durability and aesthetic appeal.
• New Guttering System:
• We installed black Deepflow gutters and a new rainwater system to improve drainage and prevent water damage.
