This comprehensive re-roofing project involved stripping the existing roof and installing high-quality materials to ensure long-term performance and weather resistance.
Scope of Work
Our skilled team carried out a range of works, including:
• Existing Roof Stripped & Upgraded: The old roof was removed and felted using Permavent breathable membrane, ensuring superior ventilation and moisture control.
• Counter & Treated Tile Battens Installed: We fitted 10x38mm counter battens and 25x50mm treated tile battens, providing a robust foundation for the new roofing system.
• Leadwork Installation:
• Code 5 lead was used for valleys, chimneys, and abutments to enhance waterproofing.
• Code 6 lead was installed on flat roofs and parapet walls for added strength and longevity.
• Ventilation Enhancements: Over fascia vents and eave trays were fitted to improve air circulation, reducing the risk of condensation.
• Velux Window Installation: A Velux SK06 window was added to enhance natural light and ventilation in the loft space.
• Tiling with Marley Concrete Tiles: We installed Old English Marley Edgemere concrete tiles, known for their sleek, modern aesthetic and durability.
• Dry Ridge System: Marley Modern ridges were used for hips and ridges, ensuring a maintenance-free, mechanically fixed system.
• New Guttering System: We installed black Deepflow gutters and 68mm rainwater pipes for an efficient and long-lasting drainage solution.
